This book follows the feelings of new parents welcoming a baby into the world. We Sang You Home is about a parents love for their child. The things that parents do and the growth that both parents and their children have through their interactions is a theme throughout the book.
I would rate this book two out of four stars. The book is very touching and meaningful but none of the poems rhyme within the pages. All of the poems are just phrases and sentences that have meaning but I would not consider poems. The illustrations in the book are very well done and made me stop to just admire them. This book is something that a parent could read to their very young child before bed as a short way to let them know how much they are loved.
